Stanaphone down for 24 hours mid-week
As we report on Stanaphone a connection to their service has been unavailable for a full 24 hours in the middle of the week. We called Embarq repair to verify that they are not blocking port 5060, and they are not. The problem is with Stanaphone. Meanwhile we continue to watch our blinking red light on the Grandstream ATA adapter.
Our Manhattan (New York City) telephone number has been an asset, but it will not hurt much if we give it up. Other users asked of Stanaphone numbers will be portable if the service goes out of business. I doubt it. We will keep watch on the situation with Stanaphone as it develops.
